The white dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1955 film "The Seven Year Itch" sold for $4.6 million at an auction of Debbie Reynolds' collection of film memorabilia.  Authenticity was confirmed when DNA testing resulted in a match -- not of Marilyn's DNA -- Joe DiMaggio's.

Reggie Brown, a Barack Obama impersonator, had his microphone cut off at the Republican Leadership Conference where he had been hired to entertain.  They cheered when he referred to Obama's birthplace, "Hawaii -- or as the Tea Party calls it -- Kenya."  The microphone cut off, though, when he predicted that if Mitt Romney were elected, he'd have "a First Lady... Second lady...  Third Lady..."  Brown's agent suspects one of Newt Gingrich's wives.

Amy Winehouse canceled her European tour after being booed off the stage in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.  She forgot the lyrics of her hit songs, dropped the microphone and appeared not to know where she was.  One rock critic described her as "a musical version of Sarah Palin."

For those of you worried about the future of Anthony Weiner now that he's been congressionally defrocked, according to reliable sources, he'll announce before the end of the month that he's been hired as the new national spokesman for Oscar Meyer.

Donald Trump celebrated his 65th birthday last week and was surprised when he received a gift from ex-wife, Ivana.  Turns out she saw Anthony Weiner's junk and realizes now that she may have under appreciated the Donald.

WakiLeaks: History Declassified 2000 (Vol. One) is now available on Kindle for $2.99

Compiled from Bob's newsletter "Funnyside Up" published in 2000. This is a yuck and chuckle-filled stroll down memory lane to a time before the Bush administration had inflicted its damage -- a time before the search for WMDs and Osama bin Laden. See what we were laughing at back then, who was in the news and who had yet to enter rehab -- which NFL stars had yet to do time in the Gray Bar Hotel.
