SITUATION ROOM -- Stockholm's version of CNN was in for a rude shock when someone intercepted their live signal to insert scenes from a porn film.  Apparently, some viewers thought the clip was part of the channel's daily report on local employment opportunities.  When one of the actors mentioned the "missionary position," 500 guys applied for the job.

BY PRESCRIPTION ONLY -- Italian archaeologists discovered what they believe are the oldest pharmaceuticals ever found -- pills stored in the crew's quarters of an ancient ship's hull at least 2000 years old.  Unfortunately, they can no longer be taken.  A label carved into their earthen jar says "Use Before 1867 years."  Even more astounding, the jar has a childproof cap.

ALL AMERICAN BOY -- This week, Lance Armstrong disclosed to Oprah the details on his use of illegal steroids to win eight Tours De France, his loss of multi-millions in endorsements, and his decision to finally come clean.  And he did all this while riding his bike on Oprah's couch.

SPOILER ALERT -- Responding to studies that show one in ten Americans have dropped their cell phone into the toilet, Sony  unveiled its new waterproof  "Xperia Z," phone/video camera.  Comes with an app that sends the user a recorded message from the Tydi-Bol Man when a thorough cleaning is indicated.

COFFEE?  TEA?  PABLUM? -- Crew members on an Armavia Airlines passenger jet en route from Siberia to Armenia's capital Yerevan helped a woman give birth to an eight-pound baby girl in her seat.  In appreciation, Armina Babayan named the infant after one of the flight attendants.  Lucky it was a foreign airline.  On Delta, a live birth generates an additional carry-on luggage fee.

WakiLeaks: History Declassified 2000 (Vol. One) is now available on Kindle for $2.99

Compiled from Bob's newsletter "Funnyside Up" published in 2000. This is a yuck and chuckle-filled stroll down memory lane to a time before the Bush administration had inflicted its damage -- a time before the search for WMDs and Osama bin Laden. See what we were laughing at back then, who was in the news and who had yet to enter rehab -- which NFL stars had yet to do time in the Gray Bar Hotel.
